Old comic lineart I did back in 2010. I cleaned it up a bit and slapped some flat colors on it.
Gosh, the art style in this is very... 2010. xD Makes me feel nostalgic in a way. I used to draw lots of comics back in the day and I always felt bad I only ended up sharing very few of them. There's so much stuff my characters have done and been through during these past years, but so little of it ever made it online for people to see.
The lines were inked traditionally with Micron pens and then scanned, but I think because of the coloring it looks digital enough to be categorized as 'digital art'. I'm constantly having trouble with dA's categorizing system trying to figure out which drawings look more digital and which more traditional... gosharoo~

Shian is back! She was never gone, I just haven't added her in any drawings in a long time. I used to draw her with Elian all the time way back. Poor Shian, first time I post something with her in ages and I made her the butt of a joke.
In reality Shian's eyes have a natural red glow to them, like the surface of the sun. They're most likely too bright to be looked directly into and might cause similar kind of temporary blindness that you'd get from staring into the sun. She keeps her eyes shut to protect everyone around her from that blinding light. Shian is a benevolent little nature spirit, kinda like a furry version of our forest fairy. She doesn't need eyes in order to see so keeping them closed at all times isn't a problem for her.
I'll write more info about her and her origins in some other picture if I make her a new reference or something. The old reference still works perfectly fine though, her design has hardly changed at all.
