You have NO idea how long I was having trouble selecting what animal to use for her! It was a tough battle between the Kai Dog and a cat but eventually the dog won.

I keep reading comments about how people say she should be a wolf but there aren't any wolves in Japan. Well there wasen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honshu_wβ¦ some people say that they aren't' truly extinct. Plus is Akima actually Japanese or just "token Asian"? I never really cared much for her though, I was more of a Preed fan. Β

There were two wolves in Japan, Honshu and Hokkaido Wolf. I don't know enough about either of them, so I choose a breed/species I'm familiar with.

Always a good idea to stick to what you know. What kind of dogs are you going to have the aliens such as Preed and Sith be? Or are they going to be dogs at all?

Only humans are turned into dogs, aliens remain the same. Humans will only be dog anthros, as otherwise you would have to rewrite human history too much (how can they have cattle if they are cattle themselves?). There is more than enough diversity in dog breeds to cover different human types.

Could be the "man's" child. A puppy. A cat would make me at least think this character was a villain (too many Bond movies). Β The kid playing soccer and his big sister appear to be South African. Rhodesian Ridge-backs!
The lady who tends to Akima after the "lizard thing" (what I always call Preed)Β ) shoots her is Chinese. You could make her be a Sharpay or a Chow-Chow.Β

Thats actually a Kai Dog. Wolves do not come in brindle colouring.
