For the Musically Inspired T-Shirt Design Challenge (unoriginal title is unoriginal). First time I'm doing something like this. I had a better idea (anyway, I think it was a better idea) but I ended up not doing that because I lacked the skill I needed, so I just doodled this instead, today. *le fail* Anyway, pencil sketch, inked with a 0.5 ink pen, adjusted in Photoshop. I just did a lot of lines because that's the feeling I get when I listen to music - something that flows on and on and just gets mashed up in my head. And I like vinyls. I'm nuts about listening to music on vinyls. When I turned 17 or 18, my mom bought me a new pick-up because I had all these records and nothing to play them on. It makes me feel content, every time I use it; it's like a little ritual I perform to calm myself down.Going for a jog now. XD

I canβt help it but say; this is 21. Century style! Those Black βn White prints are very popular at the moment. And also I find your designβ¦well how do I say that? It makes me feel happy/in a good mood! Nicely done! Youβve got a cool drawing style.

Looks very time consuming, but came out great! Some say real music must be heard on vinyls!

Thanks! I wouldn't go as far as calling it "real music", although I suppose I get what they mean when they say that. It's just that nowadays any song on any album or EP is simply one button away, but when you listen to a record, you can't just skip to whatever song you want that easily and you gotta put time into preparing and placing the disc in the player, etc; I think all that's really nice, I think it's an important process. Plus, I like the sound you get by playing a vinyl. I'm all for HD music, don't get me wrong, but there's something heartwarming about hearing the little crinkle of a vinyl in a record player. :3
I don't really have any advice to give on your piece, really, this is my first time entering a design contest on dA, so I'm as inexperienced as they get. I think it looks nice and balanced, it's visually pleasing and aesthetic; and I especially like the back piece. I would've probably placed the front drawing more in the center of the T-Shirt, meaning a bit lower than the way it is now, but that's really just me. Black T-Shirts tend to lose color with washing, so when one of my black T-Shirts gets all used and grey, I cut its neck and sleeves to make it like a grunge sleeveless top or something, so then if the drawing on the T-Shirt is more centered, then I don't have to cut off it. But, again, that's just a little something I do.

Yes, i agree that the process to play music on record players is an important process to listen to vinyls. Though i've never one through the process, i look it like cooking and eating (for my simple mind to grasp lol), cooking is an art needed to enjoy the result of the skill

Hehe, all in all, I think that just entering a contest helps you evolve and get better. So kudos to us both, lol. XD When I look at my submission now, there's a lot I would change. But I can always keep those ideas for the next competition. XD
