▫ Personality:

Cyrus is quite the weird and difficult guy to hang around with. Spouting off gibberish, fiddling with anything near him and laughing hysterically like a hyena. He’s not crazy, well, not yet but he would rather find more “interesting” things than spend his time on a boring missions. He’s quite the lazy guy when ordered to do things, but does his job well in the end. Cyrus does spend most of the time wandering around, even finding it hilarious of ambushing the other Templars like an Assassin. Which causes others to contemplate about his position as a Templar, seeming more Assassin than a Templar. But he is loyal to his order, despite the fact he is a bit nutty to the head. Another thing that surprises others is his behavior, he acts like a spoiled brat and easily gets flustered when plans go wrong.

▫ Biography:

Cyrus's family was involved with the Templar order for many generations, loyal and supportive to its cause. His father (Arthur Gaunshtein), a Templar from Russia, had serve the order from his own father for many generations. His old man traveled to Bushehr of Iran, spreading the news of Templars and their fight for order. There, he met a woman, who soon became Cyrus' mother. She bore 2 children, with a 4 year gap in-between. Cyrus was the youngest of the two and lived with his family in Bushehr for a few years.

Until the age of 8, Cyrus witnessed a homicide of his very own family. The men that had arrived were ordered for the death of Arthur, needing the head to confirm the death of the Templar. Arthur hushed Cyrus and his sister into hiding, then getting caught and slaughtered in front of their eyes. Cyrus' mother, who has gone insane from watching her husband die, struck the Assassins. Their daughter rushed out, trying to stop her mother. His mother had a slow death due to the Assassin's hesitation, and his sister held her insane dying mother in her arms.
It was a mission gone wrong, and to fix their mistakes, the Assassins killed the witnesses. That had only left Cyrus, who was hidden and watched the whole scene of his family brutally murdered. Once the Assassins left with no pity, Cyrus creeped out and cried to sleep in the embodiments of his dead mother, sister and headless father.

Cyrus left Bushehr with an insane mind due to the murder, what added to the delusional mind was a gene inherited from his mother's family tree as well. He stayed in Bushehr for a few years, surviving with the things he had until he heard of the Templars in Constantinople. He immediately packed and headed on his way by foot. He learned a lot of things along the way, taking a few lessons here and there until it took a few years to get to Constantinople. Once he arrived, he lived off the streets for a year. Observing the Templars and streets, keeping an eye for Assassin’s and how they moved. Being satisfied, he joined the Templars. Using his father’s papers, he showed proof that his family was supporters of the Templars and allowed him to join.
