I can see why some people might prefer the left one more, but I personally think the newer drawing is a lot more inventive higher in quality. It's less generic manga and more individual and interesting.
It's always interesting to see how people's art style changes over time.

I don't blame them-heck, a few years ago I myself would've infinitely preferred the older version. But there are plenty of other manga artists that these kids (or adults) can look forward to. In the meantime I'll just keep experimenting with new things.
It's amuses me, though, that even those most of these people prefer the older style they still take the time to follow me hahaha.

I dunno, I feel like since there are a lot of really good anime/manga artists, it's really hard to work in that style and really stand out. Being a good anime and manga artist isn't good enough, and since there are already so many experts in that style already, I often feel like there isn't as much to gain from doing a strictly anime-esque style as there is in exploring and inventing individual styles.
That's just my opinion though, and I really don't have much right to say this as I've yet to really break out of my anime roots in art.

I'd feel presumptuous saying there's a certain style criteria to anime/manga that you can only push so far, but it's pretty much the reason why I decided to expand my horizons a bit more.

I suppose we all have our reasons for developing our art style the way we do.
Personally, I like how your art style has developed and I do look forward to what else you put up here. Because I do like what you draw, even if they are random doodles or rough sketches or character drawings or whatnot. I admire your work a lot.
...and if Crazy Flush does come into web comic form, I'll definitely support it 100 percent!

If becoming an animator didn't require your blood, sweat, and tears and maybe your firstborn child, then yes! I've definitely entertained the idea, but I know it's not a path for the faint of heart.

Man, it doesn't matter what style you're using both look great! I have to agree with some people that I think the version on the right shows a lot more personality and character? If you have a story about them lying around or in the works, please let me know where it is or when you post it XD

Thanks! I'm still a huge fan of the anime/manga style, don't get me wrong, but I swear if you took away the color and hair for my older style in this picture they'd look like mirror images of each other LOL. Just my opinion, but drawing's not as fun if your whole cast look like carbon(photo?) copies.
You'd doodle too if you had to sit through an obligatory women's studies class!
