......YES. I have one of them too. Actually, two of them.
(Suoh was my first, but he was going to be for the Avatar OC contest- but I didn't make the deadline. This little guy's life story just popped into my head one day.)
Just to let you know, I'm rather proud of this! I did a relativly good job for 6 different scenes in exactly one hour!!! yay!!! X3
Ok- now for Yasuo's story.
Yasuo was born in Ba Sing Se a few days after the final battle took place, right after Aang defeated Firelord Ozai (yes- it's a post-war story). He was the only child born then, and declared the "Peace Child" because he came right after the long awaited end of the war. However- he's not so honored to be the peace child. His father fought and died in the war, and his much older brother "fought" in it as well. (btw- no benders in this family. they are an average middle class family ) Now, his brother uses fighting in the war to get attention and to get the girls. He takes a lot of pride in his "fighting" and abuses the power he gets with bragging. What he didn't know what that his little brother watch all of this, and grew somwhat envious. Everyone had always told Yasuo that they were glad he was there, being a symbol of the end, but from his mother he got pride for his father fighting and dying for what he believed, and his brother basically said the war was a 'cool' thing. Yasuo started to get the idea that he missed something grand, something that would have made him more of a person. And that he could have fought in this war, he could have been there, if it wasn't for Avatar Aang. Yasuo's hatred for Aang grew over the years, and more and more did he wish he was born in the Fire Nation 50 years ago (Hence the pony tail. ). He wanted to fight. And it was all Aang's fault he couldn't. At a very young age, he thought of his destiny- which was to destroy the Avatar and start a new war, one that will always bee remembered. One day, *Yasou is about 8-10ish aged, and Aang about 19* his family discovers that Avatar Aang is coming to Ba Sing Se to visit the Earth King. But he's walking through the city this time, to meet the people. Amoug the people is Yasuo. Yasuo stops Aang in the street and gives a long prepared monologue (cuz thats what bad guys do) about how he is going to destory him and then take over the world. With a very small knife, he starts to attack Aang, but the gaurds get him first. They were going to take him to a prison for a while, but Aang refused. Instead, he just wanted to talk to this confused child. Yasuo realized that his perspective of the "evil" Avatar was wrong, and he was actually a wise man working for the good of the people. Aang offers for Yasuo to come with him, so he can learn from Aang in the Southern Air Temple. Yasuo immeadiatly accepts, and without telling his family, he left. These were the happy years- Avatar Aang became his best friend, and the father he never had. He learned so much, he was like a sponge to Aang's teachings. Here, he abandoned his wish to kill Aang and take over the world as well. THen, one day Aang told him that he should try to teach others in the world what Aang taught him. Yasuo accepts, being sad of leaving the man who raised him, but willingly does what he wishes. Yasuo immeadiatly goes home to his mother, to find she and his brother were killed years ago in a fire. Ashes of what used to be his home are the only things left. Hurt and confused, Yasuo again comes to the conclusion it was all Avatar Aang's fault. If he wasn't taken by that evil man, none of this would have happened. he and his family would be safe now, if it wasn't for Aang. That burning desire to murder the Avatar came back to him. He then spent many years training, learning to fight from the best sword masters, and as well as people like Ty Lee. It consumed his life. One day, app. 10 years after Aang let Yasuo go, he appeared in the Temple. At first, Aang was very glad to see him, until he started to attack. Aang refused to fight back- no matter what Yasuo did. Because to Aang, yasuo was still the child he raised. True, Yasuo was good, but he wasn't good enough to defeat Aang- even when he wasn't fighting back. After hours of trying, Yasuo comes to the conclusion that he will never be able to defeat the Avatar. And a life with him is worse than death. He suddenly stops fighting and turns his own sword to himself. He died in Aang's arms, not realizing how much the monk cared for him.
END.
golly- that took MUCH longer than I thought it would. And yes- the ENTIRE story just popped into my head one day.
(hey...Yasuo looks a LOT like Zuko in that fourth one.......poo.)
MUHAHAHA.
all things Avatar (minus Yasuo) are copyrighted to Nickelodeon.
