Woo!! I was going to draw something Pokemon related but I completely messed up and it turned out really ugly so I scrapped it. Anyway I did Lancer again because I'm obsessed with him and he's an adorable baby ❤️ Idk why but I always imagined the dark candy as a sort of transparent crystalline hard candy with some holographic properties. It apparently tastes like marshmallows tho so idk might be kinda weird.

I can't freaking wait for the next chapters of Deltarune to come out. I thought it was really fun when I replayed it and the combat is also a blast. I'm kind of a sucker for turn based combat systems and it only makes it better that it's kind of like a fusion between traditional Undertale and Pokemon which is quite honestly a match made in heaven. The only gripe that I would have is that the fights could have been a bit more challenging but they'll probably get way harder in the next chapters. It's not like Toby Fox is known for not delivering when it comes to hard fights.

I've done a bit of research and Toby Fox said that chapter 2 should be finished by the end of 2020. I think he said that he would be releasing the rest of the chapters at once tho instead of one by one so idk if it even matters if he's finished with chapter 2 because we're still gonna have to wait for the rest of them to come out anyway. I don't know which one I would prefer. I really want to see what happens in chapter 2 but I also think that being spoonfed little morsels of content over a long period of time can get really frustrating. It might be better for keeping the hype train going tho.

Idk I might draw the goat boy next (the dark one) because it would probably make for another fun and colorful piece.

I borrowed the color scheme from the dark candy tree because the color schemes in Deltarune are super pretty and it's honestly carrying this piece lmao. I don't really know why but for some reason I'm worried that I'm going to somehow forget how to paint. It stupid because I'll make something I'm proud of and then I'm like "oh crap I don't think I'll be able to replicate this again" and then I manage to do that only even better than before. Anyway yeah, I can't gush enough about how much more I like painting than drawing. It's so much softer and more dreamy looking y'know? The way that I was drawing before was really time consuming and I was rarely ever satisfied with the finished product. This is much better.

Btw I think the hood makes for an excellent addition to his design. I didn't come up with the idea myself but I think it does a good job of breaking up the silhouette. It makes it a bit more challenging to draw different expressions on him but his expressions mostly rely on body language anyway so eh.. also for some reason I feel really tempted to give him a little tail. Maybe he'll have a tail come out of his stomach like his father when he's older tho idk.

I kind of struggled a bit with finding the right music for this. Lancer has his own theme of course but it doesn't feel as though it fits the feel of the piece all that well. It's kinda mischievous sounding while I'm looking for something sweeter. Not quite sure if this music is a 100% match either but eh it's works I guess.

Also my hard drive is pretty much bursting at the seams and my computer has been lagging like heck. I guess all those SAI files I've accumulated over the years are finally starting to take their toll. Ugh... I need to get some more storage on this thing but I don't really know how computers work and itll probably be a massive undertaking and a huge pain in the butt to get it sorted out. I guess I could ask my brother to help me but he'll probably charge me $50 for labor or something. What a jerk haha. Gotta love him tho
