My first real tablet picture! I'm fairly satisfied with its results.EDIT: Holy shit someone actually critiqued this... I'm not sure why I didn't turn it off ages ago, since I'm not exactly proud of this picture. I agree with it, but am just quite surprised someone was looking through my scraps.

Yoshi! A very simple picture, but I can break it down pretty well.
Let's start with anatomy. I looked up an actual Yoshi as reference, and no, "style" does not always excuse oneself from anatomy perfection. A Yoshi would have a bigger nose than this. It would also have a thinner neck (yours seems to be going even past its head, under its spikes), and its body would probably be smaller. The feet would be smaller as well, and you are missing the shell of the Yoshi, unless for some reason they don't have one. Lastly, the shoes need to be more even; the right one implies to they're only half-resting on it.
The coloring looks nice. The orange/yellow isn't too overpowering. The white stomach is jagged, however. When it comes to a Yoshi's cheeks, they're supposed to be perfectly round. The white going over this Yoshi's cheeks throws off the circular shape, and doesn't line it up with how you drew the cheek.
For the shading you do have, it is alright, however your light source shifts towards the bottom.
Unless your table is a trapezoid, one should be able to see the fourth leg. Also, the word "Damn..." could be a little larger so one could see it better.
That's all I have to say about that.

I am impressed with you. I truly am. Most people significantly pad down their reviews of a picture they don't like, and seeing such honesty is refreshing. Kudos.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It's a mediocre show with no real entertaining value besides a few outside references. It's making all my favorite artists "convert". It is also the fandom that gets the most "ass pats" by far. Everything about it annoys me. I have hard times respecting "convertees", yet alone "converters". It's like some stupid religion that got spread because its art got waves of undeserved compliments. It almost ruined dA for me. I hate it and 90% of its "fans".

yeah, i agree... my older, brother, a hardcore RAEG gamer in college, is in love with that show. has a facebook picture of it and a t-shirt for it.. i dont think he faps to it (I HOPE HE DOESNT!)
i've seen some of it. it has its moments but its nothing to get WOWOMG about... people are getting frontpage for vectors, and getting yelled at even if they didnt intend for it to get so popular. i lolled cause some person noticed their picture of Rarity get so popular for just having a mostly normal vector of her, changed the image when it was in the top six pictures, into something hilariously stupid looking
but yeah, MLP... i dont hate them as much as Homestuck though, which has turned most of my former Hetalia fans into Homestuck devotees...

..it shouldnt take 2 hours for something to be funny... and all people really like about the show, as far as i can see, are the stupid troll designs

I can't say I liked Homestuck either. MSPA isn't all bad, though. I enjoyed "Prequel".

There's TEN 3+ star critique artworks I've given, and apparently you're only selecting certain things to pay attention to on my page. I even have on my profile the information that states WHY I rate things the way I do. Why would I go looking for something I like a lot, just to compliment it? What's that going to help? I state on my rating information that one should not expect to get higher than 3 1/2 stars on one of my critiques unless it is one they asked for me to critique, that I happen to like a lot. Most of the pieces I linked asked me for a critique.
Even so, why are you trying to attack me for what you seem to not understand?

Why the fuq would I go to pictures just to think of carefully worded, thought out advice and pointers for people? Yes, I am so a troll for doing this. I'm more of a troll than you, for sure... because I so ask for people to yell at me for trying to give them a real critique... >.>

I must have missed those browsing your critiques. I have friends who troll My Little Pony forums/forum topics, in which they use the "selling bibles at an atheist convention" technique, where you do something with seemingly honest intentions in the wrong place. Then when someone complains, you can just dismiss it at paranoia/oversensitivity. You did, after all, look through my scraps and found a terrible deviation that I had forgotten to turn off the Critique to. Or did someone point you to it?
deviantArt is full of many people who are simply not used to harsher critique (nor are even expecting it). You've upset quite a few, screenshotted their butthurt and stupid replies, and posted them in a gallery to be laughed at by your peers. That last part is what led me to inquire on the "trolling" part.
But anyway, it looks like you're honest after all. Sorry for the dumb accusation.

well, i understand you missed it, but ... didn't i say earlier in this conversation that i found it on the Critiquable list? its "newest critiques" feature seems to be broken, but i found your picture on the list, no one pointed me to it and i didnt have to look through your gallery to find it. i picked it at random
its okay about the dumb discussion. if you really look at my screencaps, like, 90-95% of them actually come at ME first, which is what pretty much gives me the right to cap them.. they harass me and sometimes make journals before i cap them

Do you really think that you'd get a positive reaction giving those kinds of person a harsh review of their art? As shown, you've been white-knighted and raged at multiple times, regardless of how truthful or constructive it is. Although hilarious to more reality-grounded deviants, it doesn't really accomplish anything.
Speaking of that, I read your review again. You're entirely right about "style". I've been drawing like that for a while and haven't really bothered to go for a more accurate portrayal in a long time. I think I'll take your pointers and try this again. Thank you. I might ask you for another critique in the future.

*sigh* your welcome for the review, but seriously; yes, i DO expect to get a positive response, which quite a few people do.
i reviewed someone's bad art, gave them a 1-2 star rating, and they took it well. in fact, they've even asked me to critique 3 more of their pieces, and still plan to ask for more, to improve.
its about a half-and-half ratio on good-to-bad reviews. most of the people that cant handle it are people who think that their work is perfect. if they have that mindset, they shouldn't be asking for a freaking critique. and its going to become even more of a problem now that non-members can critique and go: LAWL THIS ROCKS DUDE!
