The evolution line follows that of the Torchic-Combusken-Blaizken line. (Tor[chic], Combus[ken] and ?????[????].)

Uh-oh, while this looks cool, i mean sub zero, artic night in the middle of winter cool, the Ground/Fire combo means a x4 weakness to Water, your rival's type of choice!

First thing I notice is the tail, I like the split between natural and fire, normally it's either just the tip or the whole tail that flames but you've gone for something slightly more different. I suppose you could argue it is a very large flame tip but it looks more half and half so meh.
I really like how you emphasise the traits of this line in line with many domesticated small rodents, has a nice sense of familiarity about them and certainly makes me want to have one. Unfortunately their in the same group as Agiactyl so they will always lose out XD
I chuckled at how you made sure to highlight weight problems as an issue if you over indulge their lazyness and keep feeding them. The thing does already look quite portly hehe
Also I like the Fire/Ground typing, not many of those around. Fitting to it's character too, especially as your emphasising it digging burrows and such.

haha yeah.. I like them a lot but ahhhhgaiactyl! XD
Yeah the fatness is a trait my chinchilla has.. I wouldn't say he's super lazy, but he's got quite the gut on him. XD

haha, takes two to tango though. He gets as much exercise as his owner gives him, and can only get really fat if you spoil him XD
Makes me wonder how you treat your friends and partner, fattening them up and encouraging their lazyness
