For fun! One of the most interesting things about Equira's monsters to me are the variations of each species that are possible. Some more than others of course, but they can all be so unique.I'm practicing with my cintiq quite a bit, still trying to get my brushes down and playing with monster designs to do it.

Oh look at that delicious variety. Love those leaves! Even the bark texture helps give off a distinct impression for each of these foliage fellows.
Random thought, but if these guys can also converse in human language then I have no choice but to proclaim Grandmother Willow from Disney's Pocahontas a super ol' Sif in 'hiding'.

But man I need to learn how you do leaves, because those leaves are gorgeous. the perfect shading and lighting.

Foliage brushes man! And the lighting is poop, I meanie didn't even shade the sif's bodies or anything, its like flat coloring, leaves just had dual colors simultaneously for it to not look poop

Yeah, especially since it was the equira assigned to me sooo long ago. Such good days of being able to draw as much as I want to. without worrying about homework.
I think what makes the flat coloring so nice is the simple texture you added to it. Gives it a nice look. Whatever it is though it's all amazing. I'mma have to make some foliage brushes.

The dimorphism thing completely slipped my mind. It's great to see examples of how far you can take it. Complementary to various drawing styles as well. Helps the fans out. Smart lady.

Just as planned... But yeah I was hoping when people made their own characters they'd vary their guardian's designs a bit more but I guess you might not know how far to take it before it doesn't fall into another species entirely? Idk I'm pretty flexible with a lot of them.
