It's probably not a good idea to start a picture without a sketch, some clear idea of what pose you want, or any ideas beyond "Gakupo with a festival mask" At least, not for me, since the whole process turned out a bit longer than expected, for a pic that's actually not that complicated in terms of composition.That's supposed to be a La Tirana (Chilean festival up north) devil's mask. Real La Tirana masks are pretty ornate. I'd love to own one.

I am obsessed with the mask. The process that it took to make it must have been pretty obsessive too, huh? It's perfectly symmetrical and looks like it's alive!

And like I said, it's not even as ornate as the real ones can be. Some even have small lights (xmas tree lights, perhaps?)
The dudes wearing them dance and jump around the streets during the festival, so I guess the masks are pretty sturdy.

oh wow! the colors are great, and the mask! oh and thaaat hair is beautiful...but if you ask me, it would be perfect if you fixed his eyes.

Well...I tried it, and it looks a bit weird to me. Maybe it's just tha fact I've been staring at the pic for so long now, you knows. But you made me realize that one of the irises was bigger than the other, so I did tweak them a bit, and I darkened his eyelashes. I think the eyes look a bit more expressive now, but I don't know if you will find it an improvement or not :3

Oh, random purposeless drawings... this one turned out really interestingly, though. It's nice to see your culture mixed in with Vocaloid, most people wouldn't expect that :3
