Yes, I know, I said I wasn't going to upload anymore FG stuff. But the subject matter is from FG but it's not FG related. This was a school project I had to do. I am SO glad it's done, even though I had fun doing it. Look out for the final version of this little project later. Ah, my little Dahl. My Advanced Drawing for Animation teacher really liked her.

I positively adore that glossy sheen on the leaves! The contrast of the lighting is lovely, between the heavy shadows on the left and the misty softness on the panel second from the right. I really like this piece!

I really like this peice and the way that each panel gives off a different mood just by the colors, shading and position of the subject.

You make paradise convincing seeing the little beauties relaxing among the leaves makes me want to chill on a mushroom too. It's the lighting you use, or the different lighting on each panel that just makes this so much more awesome.
My favorite is the last panel. I want the snuggle the Dahl, she looks lonely. Or maybe she's dreaming. That's it, she's a dreamer...do they even think that way? O.o Sorry I'm going off, but it's just wonderful when you can get your viewer to actually think when looking at a workpiece.

It's amazing that she conveys so much emotion and yet we can't even see her face. It's like a brief look into her everyday life as she explores, and contemplates. I love the color, it makes the textures so rich and palpable. And I will be looking for the final version of this later.
