To get L's appearence they seem to have mixed gollum (there's just something very gollum-y about him) with scribbly head [link]
he ended up in an odd pose which looks like he has either fallen over or is climbing up a wall...so I added the chair

I tried to sit like L, well considering the fact that the computer chair had a screw missing, which made it even MORE unstable.
I would have end up looking like your picture if I didn't have a good sense of balance.

You've done a wonderful job coloring this. When I saw it, I interpreted it as L having just fallen from his chair. It appears from the direction he is looking he holds the chair completely responsible.

All your art work has the same texture and look to it. what do you use to make your pictures look the way they do? and if it is photo shop..........How? as a comic book artist i would like to try to make my stuff resemble the same smooth texture as yours however you can rest asure i would make it my own an not copy your art style i just want to try it.

I use photoshop CS with most of my stuff. I tend to spend a bit of time shading the skin, changing the hue a tad bit as it gets darker (same with clothes and hair). I mess around with the brush presets a bit too.
with parts like the jeans I find pictures of fabric and stuff and make it blend in using levels and layer blending modes in the selected area. plus I use a lot of gradients.
