Description
xD This dog was so ugly, it was cute.I'm not sure the story on her, but my best guess would be she was from a puppy mill. She had matting on her fur, and she was really really shy at first.
However, she ended up being my favorite dog of the day. She LOVED treats. She started dancing around all over the place and got all happy. She really came out of her shell once she got a little warmed up.
Anyway, when I walked past her in the kennels later, she would dance anytime I walked by xD It made me sad I couldn't take her home -
Good news, she's adopted ;D Which always makes me feel better xD

Too cute! Maybe not from a Puppy Mill, but probably someone who didn't have the time for her (hence her coat), which is also probably why she ended up in a rescue environment. It's a true shame, but sounds like she warmed up quickly and I'm glad to hear she got a good home!

Well, puppy mills are all over the place out here, and our shelter just got 60 dogs or something from one of them not too long ago, so it was just a guess based on the area the shelter is near. That, and these little dogs are typical for such a thing. But, you have a point, it could have just been someone not taking care of her properly. She was supposedly three years old, so I hope she wasn't living in that condition all those years D:
She was a nice dog though, and I'm sure her new family is much better and will give her what she needs (a nice bath and lots of treats!)
Thanks for the comment

I really hope she wasn't in a mill situation... she most likely would have have a couple litters already if that was true
Which state are you located in? I'm from Lancaster County, PA (but currently living in Philly)... Puppy Mill capital of the East Coast

Yep, I'm in the middle of that on the East Coast. There are a few busts every now and then, but not nearly enough. It's sad. There was an interview given to some guy who owned one, he claimed it was "safer" for dogs to live indoors, and they liked it more. Oh yes, safer to live indoors AND in steel, unsanitary cages -.- I'm sure.

Mhm! when I came home, I was like "Mom, you're gonna laugh at the dog that was my favorite today!" She was like "It must be ugly. You're going to have ugly dogs when you move out." xD She is cute, though. Mom wouldn't admit it, but I know she was thinking it >.>
Yes it does All but like, 3 dogs were adopted I think o.o Which is awesome xD
