Fresh out of hibernation a lone grizzly bear ambles along a snow covered field on a cool foggy spring morning.

The fog this morning was very surreal. It clung to the valley floor late into the morning. Only about 20 ft above the ground was bright blue sky. This allowed for some unusual lighting conditions because the sun was still filtering through the fog (notice the bear has a shadow even in the dense fog)

A very nice photo I love grizzlies <3

one thing I would suggest is to move the watermark down, as it would be very easy to photoshop out D:

Nate-Zeman In reply to BogdanEpure [2009-05-14 01:19:14 +0000 UTC]

well with wild animals i try to experiment with as many compositions as the animal will allow but these sightings are usually over very quickly so you pretty much need to pick a compo and go with it. these arent shot in studios

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

BogdanEpure In reply to Nate-Zeman [2009-05-14 13:37:40 +0000 UTC]

of course they aren't shot in studios but a quick twist of the camera should solve the problem. This if you don't use a tripod...
The composition is amazing... don't get me wrong.
But I also would have tried a very unusual one too: placing the animal in the lower left corner... I know it's breaking the rules... but it would have been very interesting (my opinion)

Hi!
I really like this picture! The only thing is that I saw a quite similar picture to yours on this persons page...??? Do you know each other and were there at the same time or maybe they copied it?? It looks as if they copied, cut and worked on it..:S..I don't like to accuss so I will let you judge for yourself. I have been watching this other person for a while and this is the first I see. Just go look to make sure.[link]

Beautiful photo once again!

I agree, it looks stolen and the thief should be reported... Don't worry, half the reason I posted mine was because it looks almost exactly like nate's. Take a good close look at it though, there are some subtle differences. Basically Nate's sucks and mine is the best. jk.

This sucks. Its not even clear and is very dark. I wish you would have take a good picture. You needed to use the automatic mode because that's how good photos are taken.

If I was there I would have gotten closer and given the poor cold bear a hug. That's what I do with my teddy bears every night.
