look at him posing for the camera
the green and brown in the beautiful background blur and the snow really make him pop. not to mention that absolutely perfect focus, so that the entire animal remained sharp.
beautiful.

Thanks so much for sharing these pictures. They are wonderful to look at. It is a neat feeling to "know" who took the picture and that you were there. Cool stuff.

What a very gorgeous...but sad photo.
With the way things are now, we probably won't be seeing these powerful and beautiful creatures around for much longer.
It was announced recently that even polar bears are in extreme danger of becoming extinct.

Beautiful!!
I'm planning on going to a wildlife photography trip to yosemite and yellowstone on July.
any tips or things worth mentinoning?
would a 300 F/2.8 be enough for this type of photography?
what are the odds seeing a grizzly fishing? are there any cubs?
Thanks,
Roie Galitz

ive never been to yellowstone in the summer so im not sure how active the bears are then, but im sure if youre there for a few days youll most likely see either a black or grizzly bear. the 300 2.8 with a 1.4 extender is what i use. its fine for most situations but if you had more length it could come in handy. good luck if you go its an AMAZING place

Wow - this is fantastic! What a great shot! How did you shoot this guy if you don't mind me asking? It's it dangerous?

they can be dangerous but as long as you stay far enough away they are perfectly safe to photograph
