Description
To purchase this image as an exclusive limited edition print please visit my website @ WWW.NATEZEMAN.COMA pikas work is never done. They live high on the alpine tundra and do not hibernate. They spend the short summer months constantly harvesting grasses. They use these grasses to turn into hay and live off of during the long brutal winter. It's pretty crazy to watch these little guys. Working literally all day. Running from the rocks to the grass, taking these bundles of grass to their winter storage spot. They are not that easy to get a photo of though. Pika are tiny, fast and very skittish. I sat still on a rock for about an hour and a half before I captured this one.

This is an amazing shot! You've captured this hard working creture perfectly and the colours make me feel like I'm there watching this little Pika in real life.

Nate - I follow your work as a true fan, but if you 'task' is that easy, that you just have to wait on a boulder for an hour and a half before you find an animal that not only takes a pause in it's labour - but also poses for you!? . I have to look up what kind of animal it is tho.
Great fan anyways.
/Cheers

It was a joke about your great skills in capturing animals in their natural environment and making really good out of it .
