Description
To purchase this image as an exclusive limited edition print please visit my website @ WWW.NATEZEMAN.COMThe Milky Way rises from behind a large sea stack on the Olympic Peninsula.
I usually don't do a lot of night photography, but this was the scene just a few feet from our campsite so I really couldn't pass it up. This is probably the most visible I've seen the milky way to my naked eye.

Wow! What are the odds of the milky way lining up so perfectly with the rock like that. Truly an opportunity that was not wasted. Good job!

Nate... You've gotta at least share what settings you shot that at! I keep trying to get decent star shots, but they always come out a bit too noisy. I'm a big admirer of your work... a little help? Thanks!

Thanks! That's part of my problem... I shoot with an XTI, only goes up to iso 1600, I need to get a more pro-SLR.

I was just out shooting, literally half an hour ago. I got a photo of the Milky Way, but it's really light polluted around here. After a bit of editing you can sort of tell it was a blurry milky way. Then I saw THIS shot. Well I am flabbergasted! Simply amazing. You've shown us all up!
