Description Well, I recently watched the Desolation of Smaug and I felt if I didn't draw Tauriel I was going to explode.  So I did, even though I know there is other stuff I need to do.  I couldn't help myself xD

Not very happy with her nose, but if I erased it again I was afraid it would smudge :/

WARNING, SPOILER ALERT!

So I reallllly loved the movie.  Tauriel rocked.  However I'm not a fan of "Kiliel" at all, and his coment about the trousers was just... awkward.  Other then that though, I had no complaint about her and it wasn't the actresses fault anyway.

The other thing I didn't like so well was there was a lot of action and not enough plot.  Don't get me wrong, I love action (SAMUG WAS AWESOME), but a movie with too much action and not enough plot is like a bright light.  After a while your eyes become used to it and it doesn't seem so bright anymore.  But add a bit of darkness and the light seems brighter.

I also found the part where they melt a giant statue on Smaug a bit weird... the scene was cool but it became a bit confusing after a while.

THE REST WAS STILL AWESOME!  I'm in love <3

Now to get back to the things I need to do, like practicing drawing guys... but it's going to be fun, I mean, there are a lot of guys in LotR, right?  }:3

Thanks!  And I'm glad someone agrees with me.  Movie still rocked, but they changed an awful lot from the books.  And now they're changing the title on the last one...  I feel like it's becoming less about the Hobbit xD

Yeah I agree!! I wish it were still about Bilbo. It is called "The Hobbit" after all... xD

I have not seen the movie, but she looks great! I love how you draw with shading, it gives it a certain...je ne sais quoi. It's great. I love how you draw faces too. c:

Thanks!  Tou should really watch the movie f;fdkgksfgh.  It's so awesome.  What does je ne sais quoi mean though?    Im guessing it's French.

Je ne sais quoi means like, 'I do not know what' or something to that extent. It just means that I think it gives your drawings a certain something that makes them special. c: And I so want to watch it! D:

(Sorry I'm a little late commenting, but...) Tauriel!! I like her a lot too, and you did a fantasic job with her! The folds and shadows on her sleeve here in particular are amazing!

I kinda agree with you there, about there being a little too much action. I was wanting DOS to feel more like AUJ did, and it didn't really, it felt darker... but I did still like a lot about it. (And yes, Smaug was awesome!) I didn't enjoy the "trousers" bit either (come on, it's Tolkien, let's please not start throwing in risqué humor, people... ), though I did kinda like the scene later of Kili showing Tauriel his runestone and them talking about the stars. I thought that part was kind of nice, actually.

Thanks so much!    You should try to draw her sometime, that would be awweeesssooooome!

That was a pretty cute scene and not nearly as bad as everyone told me it was, but I'm just not a supporter of the pairing.  Thw actors managed to pull it off okay, but it's still weird to me.  An Elf with a Dwarf... I would've liked Legolas and Tauriel though.

Haha, yeah, an elf with dwarf is a big height difference! Hmm, I have a lot of stuff I'm busy with, but maybe if I get time to do another Hobbit fanart sometime in the future, I will throw Tauriel in. She is very pretty, and I bet she'd be fun to draw. Maybe Bofur and Aster will meet her someday.

You made a lovely sketch of Tauriel! Her nose is fine she was amazing in the movie with all the jumping, and arrows and what not

Interesting fact: not only was Tauriel not in the actual Hobbit, she was a fan fiction character.

Thank you so much! I agree, she kicked some major Orcish butt hehehehe.

Was she really?  That's so cool!  I'm glad they decided to add her anyway, she's awesome.  Do you know who came up with her?
