I was inspired by AbominalSnowDemon 's awesome image to make one of my own. Hope you don't mind. ^^"

Sooooo here's a little chart showing how my InuKag kids group has grown and changed over the years. As you can see, they changed quite a bit at the beginning as I was still trying to get things worked out. During this time I also made a lot of interesting discoveries/realizations by peering waaaay too deep into the genetics and possible science of a cartoon couple. : P Most of the details of which can be found under the "biology" and/or "discussion" tags on my inukagkids tumblr (or sometimes in the deep back of my gallery here, if you want to hear a younger me make unnecessarily overannoyed rants on the matter).

Although that said, I can't believe it took until 2014 to start coloring them with individual skin tones. Like what. I thought I'd been doing it at least a little before Yukio and Moriko arrived on the scene. But apparently not, or at least, not in the pictures that got posted.

I also can't believe it took me that same amount of time to change Michi out of his backwards-folded shirt. That one mostly lasted as long as it did out of stubbornness. See, quite a while after designing him I learned that kimonos are always closed with the left lapel over the right. Right over left is only used for corpses. But even after finding that out I didn't want to change it at first, because I'd been drawing it that way for so long, and simply flipping the design looked weird. But one day it finally bothered me enough to sit down and give him a new gosh darn outfit. So yay. He's not dressed like a dead guy anymore.

Anywho...at this point, the designs and personalities have more or less settled down and solidified. Most changes within the past three years or so have been pretty minor, such as adding new outfit or two or establishing a consistent color palette. There will probably still continue to be minor edits and additions like that in the future, but I'm glad to say they've reached a much more developed and consistent state than they started with.

And just for fun, Yukio wins the prize for least changed in general since his creation. Kikyo wins the prize for most changed in design, Izzy in personality (did you know that she used to be the quiet one? like whaaaaaat.)
