Description
Here's a pic of a parent bringing a caterpillar in to feed one of the youngsters. Enjoy!they made many trips while I was watching them..no wonder the "little ones" aren't so little anymore.

Darn, I lost my Chickadee eggs to a pesky sparrow/starling...good luck to your Chickadees!

Hi, yeah I've lost bluebird and Chickadee nests to them sparrows. most of the nest holes the chickadees use are to small an opening for starlings. so yours was probably a tree sparrow that did them in. That's just to bad.

Yeah...
On the bright side, I had four fledgling robins in my hawthorn tree, all of them survived! Which was surprising, considering it was low to the ground, and in reach of cats and raccoons, not to mention starlings. Maybe the thorns helped?
