Saw this unfold this morning in the marsh. It just reminded me of an air combat dogfight.....this Heron finally just landed in a dead tree and the other bird left.

Hah, I love seeing big birds get mobbed by little ones. Well, I say 'love' - I do always feel bad for the mobbed ones, but on the other hands it's also pretty amazing to see how far pure attitude can get a little bird when facing off against a predator.

This is a great capture. I have seen Red-winged Blackbirds gang up and scare of hawks, but never a heron. Nice!
