Description
Hi, here's a shot of the female Eastern Bluebird, as it was checking out this hole for a possible nesting site next spring.I do hope they use it, because if so, then I can get pretty close and get some cool shots next spring. I still don't have any really young Bluebird pics in my gallery.Enjoy!

Aw, what a lovely shot. Bluebirds are always so pretty and cute looking! And the female's subdued colours work very well with the autumn surroundings. Do they often scout out nesting places so far ahead? And did they indeed use it this year?

Hello, Β
Β Thank you very much!
They will start scouting out nest sites as early as February, I think they were looking for a spot to ride out any winter snow storms that were coming.

Hi, Thank you!
you should have them out your way.. look for them around open fields. they will be hanging out in the brush that's at the field edges, or they will be sitting on the fence posts.they love grasshoppers, so find a field that has them and they should be nearby.

Hi Garry, Thank you!
Yeah it would be cool... the light would be good for early morning shots and getting close wouldn't be a problem...now all they have to do is "close on the House" and I'm set for next years breeding season.
