This looks awesome, would you be able to tell me where you got the wood texture for the floor? I've been looking for something just like that for awhile. Thanks so much! Great work!

Oops. Sorry:

"...flipped the same piece horizontally and placed it on the front..."

Should be "vertically"...I flipped it vertically.

Thanks!

Believe me when I say the floor was one of the most challenging parts to find. It's actually built out of several photos.

There's the main block which was a photo of a wooden cutting board...

...then I added a texture of highly grooved wood over it and distorted it to add perspective. Then I flipped that same piece horizontally and placed it on the front of the cutting board. This provides the illusion that the groves carry over to the front of the board.

The wooden rings are also a seperate photo. When I get back on my home computer I'll try to find all the source images I used...they were mainly off istock and stock.xchng...

Honestly if I had to do it again I would grab my point and shoot camera, find a plank of wood and snap a shot of it at the angle I wanted...then I'd just use that as a base and lay some more high quality textures over it and do the flipping thing I mentioned to make it look real. Finding the right board at the right angle took HOURS of photo hunting.
