It's past midnight. Navi and Xander are asleep,Alex was too until she heard a noise. Alex,being a light sleeper,woke up to find the noise only to find two unknown people in the living room.
Couldn't be Navi and Xander,since Navi would leave some kind of light on,and Xander would have been in the kitchen eating whatever.
