Taken by the lake. Apparently when one of my teachers at school saw this they were so inspired by it they want to go out and take a picture almost exactly like it. Flattering, I suppose... but I was a little irritated too.Related content

I love this picture. The concept is well done, and the look is fantastic. The way the water catches the light in contrast to the dark, heavy stones works well with the somber shadow of the mountain in the background. The lines following the water ripples add to the complexity of an overall simple image. There are many different points of light to draw the attention in this photograph, and the way that the water drops from shallow to heavy offers a feeling of infinity. Everything in this photograph weaves together like a defined watercolour painting.
