I could contrast this decision with Injustice including Scorpion in it.
I mean, we asked for a cool DC character, not everyone's favorite Mortal Kombat kharakter. But there's a difference.
Between Netherrealm, who cares more about their fans over their dignity, and Capcom, who cares whether they look honorable but constantly put fans at frustration.

Me, a Fanboy? I growed up with Megaman, yeah, but im not a fanboy, or getting always butthurt and difaming Capcom because he is not in. And besides dont get me started what happened to all the fanboys who wanted Strider in Vanilla: "Waaah, where is Strider, how could you let him out capcom i hate you, you suck, i want my Strider back BooHoo" and then Ultimate and Strider were announced and all were "Oh Thank you Capcom, i love you, this is a must buy". So thats not me which you should say about be happy with what you have

I am not mad about the costume, im actually pissed off about the attitude that Capcom is taking with the character itself.
I grew up with megaman, and since Keiji Inafune left Capcom,, there has been a strange pattern about the recent games. And remember that Inafune was a key member of a lot capcom's good games, Megaman, Onimusha, Legends, Gods Hand, Dead Risin, (Power Stone too.. im not sure), heck even Zelda Minish Cap.
Megaman Legends 3? Cancelled, Megaman online? Cancelled, Megaman Universe? No single news since the trailer from last year.
And here comes the funny part, Inafune before he left the company he requested, to add Tron and Zero to the roster, he was the reason why Both chars are in the game, and even more funny, When he finally lefted, also requested to capcom do more Megaman Games, no little cameos that pisses off the megaman fans.
Also, remember when Vanilla was out? All the people are"Hurr durr, where is Strider?, you left strider out, how could you?! i hate you capcom!You suck!" When Ultimate was announced Strider "OMG! Thank you Capcom you Rock! I Love You!" thats when we asked, "Hey, what about megaman, i mean, he was before Ryu, Strider or Wesker?" then most of them says, "Durr, Stop being butthurt! you have zero, you have Tronn, Stop bitching and get over with!" Strange if you ask me.
At least that is my perspective as a Megaman fan, i do like MvC3 and im gonna play ultimate also, is that thing that bugs me about Capcom attitude :/

Stop whining about Megaman when the fact that the Devil May Cry series is royally boned will Megaman is shelved.
Spyro's position is worse because Spyro (along with Crash Bandicoot) used to be a killer app first party franchise for Sony but now the franchise is shackled by Activision (aka, the worst video game publishers ever) run by the evil Bobby Kotick.
Swallow these facts and deal with it!

You're right. I'm sorry. No offense but I keep seeing videos of Megaman games on Screwattack all the time and then when Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 was announced, Angry Joe was apparently angry about this and about the choice of characters and no "MEGA MAN!!!" How he shouted that name nearly deafened my ears. This shows that many people love Mega Man very much but not me because I was born in the early 90's and in Europe so I never heard of Mega Man that much.
I just feel how above all the beloved franchises are getting royally boned, that Mega Man fans are the most vocal even though Devil May Cry fans (I can't say DMC anymore due to the title of the new game) were angry yet critics found the game interesting and how Ninja Theory are so critical towards the older games. When I expressed my rage after first hearing of Skylanders and seeing what Spyro has become, some people see me as being a childish idiot who has no what he's talking about. Can you imagine IF Capcom DOES bring back Mega Man but him a horrible reboot like Bionic Commando and Devil May Cry?

I Know and i agree with the spyro and Crash situation, how both get ruined, i love their games, but the situation is very different about Megaman, Spyro and Crash was about the company, Vivendi lost (Or sell, IDK) both, to Activision and thus the company make them sucks in a horrible games, Megaman is grounded by his OWN company, since the creator Keiji Inafune decided to leave Capcom, by cancelling Megaman Legends 3 and Megaman Online, games that the fans were crazy to play.
It's sad to see how they try to forget a character that was his image and soul after Captain Commando. We actually prefer that at least Capcom cares about Megaman, wich both titles looked promising.
Actually, i liked a lot the new Bionic Commando, and about Devil May cry, i dont get why all the fans are pissed about, seriously, he keeps his stylish moves, the gamplay is the same or even better that the last game, good action and fluid moves. it is because its not albino? WTH? that means you dont like his games, you like the image IMO.

If only I had euro for every time I explain this, Dante's situation is much like Crash and Spyro's. DmC is being handled by Ninja Theory whose game, Heavenly Sword, doesn't even come close to Devil May Cry 4 in terms of combat and they are the using the Unreal Engine with 30fps as oppose to the MT Framework with 60fps, not to mention how the people at Ninja Theory brutally insulted Dante and the past games if THEIR game will be the only good Devil May Cry game ever made and expecting the game to sell 5 million copies, I definitely know the latter is not going to happen that's for sure.
The series would be better handled by Hideki Kamiya and Platinum Games.

Well, you were the only who gave the most reasonable explanation why you think the new DMC will be bad. Most of his Fanboys mocks the DMC reboot just for how Dante looks.
Until i dont play the game i cannot opinion about it, and i want to thing, the Unreal Engine yeah, gives you less fps, but at the same time gives you more capability to expose more visuals and not affect the gameplay and for now i will keep shut bout Ninja theory, Remember what did they said to Retro Studios about the Metroid series. So until i play the game i will give an objective opinion.
BTW, its funny how from Megaman, passed to Spyro, then to Crash and then to Dante xD

This is why i want more HD remakes of older games because all the new ones are nothing but pitiful excuses of games with the same titles it almost brings a tear to my eye.and the fact that the games are having this happen to me isn't even what annoys me the most what annoys me is that all the people that haven't even played the originals and jumped in the series as soon as it got bad start to criticize you for wanting the old way back.
I definitely feel your pain about being called "childish" or "a little bitchy fanboy" honestly its called being loyal to a series of games and when said game gets devastated by people like ninja theory(doesn't deserve caps)
im still RAGING over how DMC is going to be and when i saw skylanders it just put the last nail in the coffin of my favorite childhood game since i hated all of the games after a heroes tail.

We should that some of our other gaming franchises haven't changed for the worst yet like Tekken, or games that were fading into obscurity brought back and made even better than ever like Mortal Kombat.
All I can really do is try and compensate by looking for another gaming franchise to get into and enjoy but I will never forget I like Soul Calibur, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda because of they remind me of Spyro. Hell, I can still find of bit of that by watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (don't call be a brony even though I'm a dude)
