Giftpic for my friend Shayera - she requested something cute with the characters Emishi and Amon from the GetBackers manga, and this is the result.The tree is a play on the characters' last names, "Haruki" and "Natsuki", meaning "spring tree" and "summer tree" - it's a Spring-Summer tree: full summer foliage, but with spring flowers.

Hey I remember this. You made a sketch of it at my oekaki BBS. 
What I think is best in this picture is the tree. So alive, so colorful. I don't mind the lens flare, it looks good to me. I also like the characters' camoflauge-like clothing. ^_^
Moving on to anatomy.
The guy's head is too small for his body. Also it seems that he has no ass. ^_^; Maybe it's because you meant him to be laying in a position so that it doesn't show but it does look a little strange. Also his body beneath the torso is very skinny, he almost looks a little flat. Again, maybe this has to do with the position. His hand on the tummy looks very good and I love the chain hanging from his pants. Great detail!
The female has a good seated position - her head is proportional to her body which is good. The arm with the hand holding the flower - the lower arm seems to be longer than the other. And that can't be right seeing that it is further away from the viewer. Always remember perspective. Her hands are also good and the foldings on the sweater are very nice. The shoe in the back seems to be pointing downwards in an awkward way. The whole foot can be titled down but not just the toe-area if you know what I mean.
All in all it's a good pic with good composition and detail. Again I must say that the tree is gorgeous. All those tiny flowers. ^_^

(It's not like I can't remove it if I don't want to, but I know absolutely nothing about what you "should" or "should not" do, and thus I keep it on basis os "Oh, nifty effect." Just goes to prove I'm right when I say am no artist.)
Seriously, thanks for the comment, and I expect I will hear the same thing from others who know these things. And I will keep my un-flattened, un-flarey version around for when I realize "shiny" is not an excuse. ^_^
