Okay, probably the last edit for a while, I promise! @_@
I just HAD to redesign the old sword, it looked way too clean and way too plain for this overall design and its unique functionality, so I spiffed it up a bit~ much happier with the redesign. That being said, I've also changed some information about the sword itself, more info on his Alchemy hobby (which has been upgraded to a part-time occupation) and added a bit more background to his history!

It was brought to my attention that the character's old information leaves him significantly overpowered, so I made a few adjustments to try to bring him down a notch. Took away a few abilities and added some weaknesses, hopefully this revision will prove to be much more fair for RP overall (SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCES! D': )

Weapons:
-Hellgate: A demonic broadsword thought to have been long lost, this blade was used to seal away the soul of a powerful demon, but has been defiled with dark magic over the many years it has harbored the demon. It is said that those who fall victim to this evil brand are cursed to eternal suffering and damnation, regardless of how pure their soul may be. The demon sealed within the blade has no manipulative control over the blade itself, nor its wielder.
-Vesperion: A sinister parasite who preys on demons, it was accidentally ingested by Exandre as a larva during the night of his foster parents' murder. Vesperion grants its bearer incredible strength (only in the infected area) and access to powerful dark magic. Although it grants its host various strengths, it is a parasite nonetheless, and must feed on souls in order to survive (namely the soul of its host). In order to prolong his life, Exandre has taken up assassination and joined the ranks of the Arean military in an attempt to quell the demon's bloodlust by sacrificing the souls of his victims in exchange for the preservation of his own. However, while sacrificing souls to Vesperion prolongs his own life, the parasite grows stronger with each soul devoured, and spreads to more of Exandre's body, although Exandre doesn't seem to much mind this fact. In addition to immense strength and an incredibly sturdy exoskeleton, Vesperion possesses a potent hallucinogenic poison. It can communicate telepathically with Exandre, and can take control of the affected area at its own discretion (often times assaulting it's host for not feeding it), although it tends to let Exandre do all the work while it takes a back seat and enjoys its feast.

Strengths:
-Strength: Making full use of the strength granted to him by Vesperion, he's able to overwhelm almost any physical barrier he's faced with and crush the toughest of foes (magical barriers are far more effective). With this, he is able to lift three times his weight with relative ease.
-Dark Magic: Granted access to the Dark Artes through his infection, he is able to catch opponents off guard or even hinder their ability to resist his onslaught with vile magic.

Weaknesses:
-Swordsmanship: Lacking much training and experience with a sword, Exandre primarily uses his greatsword defensively as a shield, otherwise he swings the blade wildly to deal as much damage over as great an area as he possibly can. Against a skilled opponent, he'll have a hard time keeping up.
-Defense: As he prefers light clothing to maintain what little agility he has, Exandre is a critical lightweight, and can't take many direct hits. He tries to make up for this fault by using Vesperion's sturdy shell to absorb the brunt of most physical attacks.
-Resistance: While Exandre is a powerful practitioner of the Dark Artes, he knows very little about preventative magic, so a well-placed offensive spell may be able to take him down fairly quickly.
-Range: It is nearly impossible for Exandre to fight back against an airborne or distant opponent, as his attacks are specifically close-range. Attacks from the sky prove to be difficult to dodge as well, as Vesperion does tend to slow him down when trying to make a quick escape.
-Agility: As mentioned above, Exandre is quite bulky, and because of this, the speed of his attacks and general movement is hindered severely. Against multiple opponents, or even against one speedy enemy, he usually doesn't stand a chance.
-Vitality: Although he sacrifices souls to Vesperion regularly, in his past, he was not always able to do so. Because of this, Vesperion has nibbled away at Exandre's soul bit by bit, lessening his life span and overall health.

Personality:
-Always calm and collected, Exandre trusts no one and will do whatever he needs to do in order to achieve his goals. On the rare occasions he DOES speak, he is almost always cynical and sarcastic. Although he is often quiet and reserved, he is quick to fight if anyone tries to get in his way.

History:
-Desperate times call for desperate measures... as a child, Exandre was outgoing and well-behaved, full of positive life energy... a delicacy in some districts of the Arean nation. His earliest memory is that of his birth parents, homeless and starving, trading him to an aristocratic Arean family of Demons (likely in exchange for food or money, his recollection of this event is unclear). From that point on, he was raised in Migera-Graves, granted a life of luxury, given everything he desired to keep him happy, although in exchange for this luxury, he was confined to a room to call his own, never allowed to leave. As the years passed, his foster parents continued raising him, like a lamb to slaughter, just trying to fatten him up with positive life force energy for a delicacy in the future no doubt. While he was still yet a naive child and unaware of the eminent danger he was actually in, he continued his ignorant bliss, appreciating every gift given to him, and never taking anything for granted. Eventually, disaster struck, and war ruined the aristocratic family's lifestyle, forcing them to take desperate measures for their own survival. One night, as funds and food were running low, his foster parents appeared in young Exandre's doorway, gazing intently at the young man, now a ripe teenager of 16 years old. As Exandre slowly awakened, his eyes met their gaze, just in time for them to spring forth and tear at him, their long awaited feast finally coming to fruition. Luckily, Exandre was able to manage to escape the frenzied Demons, but by the time he got free of their wretched grasp, he had already lost his left arm to their deranged bloodlust. Traumatized, Exandre fled from the family he knew and trusted for so long, and hid away into back alleys of the city he never knew. After a week of not being able to find food or shelter, and narrowly escaping several other flesh-crazed mobs, he'd made up his mind... or rather, lost it. Making his way back into the home he first escaped from, he grabbed his foster father's prized broadsword, Hellgate (a family heirloom, secretly passed down through generations for eons) and made his way into their bed room. Exandre made one swift swipe with the blade and slit the parents in half from head to toe, silencing them from alarming the neighbors and ensuring his revenge...but it wasn't enough. He hadn't eaten in weeks, he lost everything he ever knew and loved, was betrayed by his family and hunted down by his neighbors...several times. Grasping his shirt in the place where his left arm should be, he whispered silently: "...give it back." Tears streamed down his face as he demanded "give everything back!" He drew his father's prized weapon above his head and swung it down over and over again, each cut so clean it sliced through the bed they were lying on without even making so much as a sound... when morning shone through the cracked window, all that remained of his foster parents were two piles of cleanly sliced bones. Huddled in the corner was young Exandre, covered in blood from head to toe, and gnawing on a strange piece of meat not found on any animal... "give it back..." Suddenly, a wretched pain crept through his stomach and spread through his chest. He stood up and began screaming, grasping his heart where the pain seemed to now focus. Leaning against a nearby wall, he howled for help, but with no one around to listen, he eventually passed out from exhaustion. When he awoke, his left arm had regrown itself, but with some strange scaly protrusions, unlike he'd ever seen before. As he stared at his arm, he heard a voice inside his head, echoing "You owe me one." This was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

In the following years, Exandre spent roughly two years in Blackhearth, embracing the solitude and silence of the area. However, the parasitic demon Vesperion attached to his left arm grew hungry, and several times tried to consume the soul of Exandre himself. Desperate, Exandre tried to quell the beasts bloodlust by slaying local animals and creatures for the sake of feeding on their life force energy. Mere forest beast's souls were not enough to hold Vesperion's hunger for long however, and Exandre eventually ventured on to slaying locals and other passersby. Vesperion had a particular taste for Demon souls it should seem - several times it even tried to force Exandre to free the demon trapped inside the Hellgate for the sake of consuming its soul. Exandre knew how rare demons were, not to mention how tough it would be to actually kill one. When he finally did manage to take a demon down and consume its soul, the duo was overjoyed! Revitalized with new energy, the singular demon soul was enough to satiate their hunger for at least a year. Taking advantage of their new found energy, Exandre decided it was time to set off. He made his way to the city of dark arts, Yayuga, where he studied Alchemy and discovered his talent for Dark Magic. Of course, as he studied over the years, his hunger grew greater and several students went missing over time. Once he was discovered to be the cause of the missing students, he was forced to abandon his studies and flee back to the solitude of Blackhearth where he currently resides. He spends most of his time continuing his alchemy practices with the ultimate goal of releasing the powerful demon soul sealed within his father's blade and consuming it. In his research, he's been able to genetically modify Vesperion to a more powerful and effective design, even to the point where it sprouted a poisonous scorpion-like tail. He also finds particular interest in "soul conversion", trying to transform the potency of animal souls into the equivalent of demon souls. So far he's managed to learn how to extract souls from even plant-life, and alter animal souls to the equal of human souls, but there is still much research to be done. To fund his experiments and sustain his own life, he's taken up contract killing as a primary means of income and has been able to live comfortably ever since.

Dark Magic - can only be accessed through use of Vesperion, requirements for each spell vary.
-Guilty Bane - (Binding Spell) Placing their hand on a target's chest, magical chains (in the form of black tattoo-like linked circular markings) will crawl forth from the point of contact and envelop the target's body, restricting their movement for a short period of time (usually 10-30 seconds).
-Aetherial Vortex - (Absorption Spell) Vesperion opens its mouth wide and creates a small black hole-like suction which consumes any stray souls. This spell only works on "souls" of the recently deceased, but spirit creatures (ghosts/phantoms/etc.) are not affected.

Alchemy - activation requires physical contact to be made, and a specific spell to be recited.
-Soul Shift - A unique form of alchemy, Exandre generally uses this to increase the potency of a soul before he absorbs it, in order to heighten its effectiveness in satiating his hunger. However, he can use this technique in battle as well as a sort of "buff" or "debuff", increasing an ally's (or decreasing an enemy's) strength, intelligence, stamina, etc. This effect is only temporary, affected souls will return to normal after about sixty (60) seconds.
