Description

Drawing for prompt "toad", I don't think I've ever drawn the Toad from Mario so a friend suggested Captain Toad and I decided to go along with it. Came out a bit Kirby-fied but I liked painting the background.

Also tried this lineless art method in this drawing that is apparently supposed to be easier to do, where you colour the lineart, flatten that with the colour layer and paint on top of that to smooth it out. Hope it looks ok.

Also, I haven't actually played Captain Toad but it looks fun. I've just watched a video of someone playing a bit of the game and tried to capture the essence of it in this piece.
