Late again because I didn't think about how much time it'd take for the damn thing to dry before I can apply finishing touches. But anyways, here's a scene from the game Scaler - a very obscure PS2, Gamecube and Xbox title that I personally ADORE for its incredible art direction. The game follows the story of Bobby, a boy who annoys his evil neighbour (that works with evil reptilian people nonetheless) that proceeds to then torture him with a zapping device that ends up turning him into a lizard and then he is thrown into a portal, where a new world exists. There, he meets another reptilian fellow called Leon that helps Bobby, or Scaler, as he decides to call himself from then on. As you progress, you earn the abilities to turn into forms of other creatures specific to the level. The story does fall short in many ways in this game and the gameplay isn't perfect but it's unique and fun, and its obscurity makes it a hidden gem of a game that most have probably never even heard of. I've always looked around for peeps that know this game exists. If you somehow stumble onto this post and you're one of them, gimme a holler!

This particular scene the drawing is based off of is when the pair are flying over Bakuldo on Reppy the Repbaldactile, preparing for a landing. Compared to the first world, Chimerum, Bakuldo is very drab and dark in colour but has some really neat exploration sections with twisty turny paths that you crawl and climb across. Again, the game isn't perfect by any means, but it's visual style is something really cool that I wish more game could capture the feeling of.
