Hey there everyone, the first of the last batch of schooldump pictures. The last assignment was character design. As you can see, even with college, I'm still more comfortable designing monsters and animals than people. But, I might try twice as seriously right now than ever before. In animation, knowing how to design people is a must, so even if I'm still not as good with human characters, I can tell from the experience I'm much more eager to design people in my art-style than I was ever before.Related content

Fun fact, Leatherhead actually was a character reference for the design. Basically in our assignment, we had to get both real and fictional references to help our design. Leatherhead was a great reference considering he's a top-heavy crocodile design plus he's quite mobile in the show. The major differences was I wanted a get a grimier feel, so the rest was inspired by the real-life Saltwater Crocodile!

Yeah, I could tell! I can see the resemblance and I immediately got that feeling when I first saw him! It is really cool though, I love Leatherhead! What I want to know is where do the hand bandages come from lol XDĀ

The hand bandages are for aesthetic reasons. Sometimes you just add stuff for the sake of it with only some real-life logic (wrapping your hands compresses your fingers to prevent breaking your bones during a punch).
