I have always loved Lances over all weapons in MH3 ( kinda defence noob at times) but yeah we all have our fav's

You aren't the only Lance Lover, I like them too.
It also has, once the calculation is finished, one of the highest damage per hit ratings in the game. Behind only special attacks from other weapons, although it does not hit as fast as some.
I also like defense a lot, one of the big things with being a lancer is that you can take the hit then get right back to hitting the monster, instead of being knocked back a long way or having to dodge.
Everyone I've played with loves a good lancer, and it takes effort to be a bad one.

Personally, Dual Blades since I favor the Hit-'n-Run tactic.
Wait for the enemy to try attacking, Dodge the attack, strike back with a Short~medium combo, (combo duration) get some distance, rinse & repeat.

That would actually be the Greatsword type of gameplay. IMO, Dual Blades are about constantly being up in the MonsterΒ΄s faces, evading monsterΒ΄s attacks while at the same time repositioning yourself for the next attack, preferably also using some degree of MOI and the proper skills if required.

i opened dA and immediatly saw in the Deviatons the big knight running, and i started to rofl as i never did in weeks XD
they look so funny, and the animation is cool
