  Strengths : Helios is a very patient man, very good company and does his best to be agreeable, diplomatic. He has a vast knowledge regarding to folklore and the occult, and quite meticulous and detail oriented. He's very mild-mannered and tries to keep a calm demeanor in the face of adversity, very cautious about how he approaches the task at hand and how he deals with other people.
  Weaknesses : Can come off as a bit aggressive. When trying to make things safe, or be cautious, Helios isn't so much one to back away and hide but more so to confront the problem and restrain it. Due to recent events, Helios is overly cautious and suspicious. Also, due to his age, Helios can be prideful, arrogant, tends to overestimate himself and his abilities. He's got experience, so obviously he knows best. knows what's right.
  Powers / Weapons : Helios is able to make things levitate and move according to his will, though the heavier the object the more effort it takes, able to lift roughly 130 pounds. Helios' magic has an affinity for plants and greenery in general, though in order for him to access magic on the battlefield, he must depend on the surrounding plants and foilage to work off of. His go to is to just summon think vines with briars and sharpened ends. Recently, he's been turning to fire kinetic magic as well. But this magic requires a lot more focus and is much more emotionally charged. If he's too stressed or panicking, turning to fire magic tend to expel a terrible amount of energy.

Around company Helios is very casual, his mannerisms and speech pattern a reflection of the centuries he has lived through, he refers to most people with pet names. And within the course of his lifetime, Helios has watched the world go by, seeing history repeat itself in both the good and bad. This has left Helios with both a deep set wisdom and an even deeper cynicism. A combination of bitter, quiet, and melancholy making him a very difficult book to read. And unfortunately, as much as he tries to act and think otherwise, Helios very much gets attached to others very easily. Since being trapped in Transyre, Helios has found himself in an uncompromising position where he actually has to settle down and see strangers become familiar, and the familiar become family. He gets lost in the sentiment more than he would like to admit, but that doesn't mean he doesn't show it.

History

Born in the year of 1402, he grew up in Florence, Italy with a wiccan upbringing. He grew up with a very quiet and modest coven, a very peaceful childhood, Helios more so spent his days dedicated to his studies. He worked hard to perfect his craft, though socially inept yes, but he was well on his way to becoming a fine witch. In his adolescence, Helios had met a young lad named Rey, a fiery spirit that tried to pickpocket him the first time they had met. Nevertheless, the two ended up falling for one another.
   Though, in his later years, the world steadily begin to darken. The apex of witchhunting, with books published of the damning occult and curses. Hysteria was rising within the town and neighbors were quick to turn on one another, pointing fingers and crying "witch" as a slur and a sentence. He watched friends burn at stakes, charred and screaming as crowds would cheer, praising their gods and spurning their devils. And as any star-crossed tragedy goes, both Helios and Rey had found themselves tossed in a dungeon to be burned at the stake at a later date.
And many months later, the day had come, and a guard had come to the prison doors. The next thing Helios remembered was a hoarse whisper saying run and then Rey lunging at their keeper armed only with teeth and fury. And from then on Helios didn't look back. Stealing away in some remote niche, Helios survived, lingered, more of a shell than a man. He watched the world move and change, and he figured that he had no choice but to do the same.

He's become well-traveled, between the realm of humans and the realm of the supernatural. Along the way he's met fanciful characters and learned new tricks. Helios has dealt with rich and royal, watched wars pass by, buried his husband, his wife, and his children many times over. Lifetime after lifetime, he's taken his fill over many centuries but has never found satisfaction. Every year, with every trip back to Florence or to Brazil, Helios has felt an increasing sense of hollowness.

  It was dawn when he had taken a detour from his normal route of collecting herbs and the alike. By the time the sun had set, Helios was before a quaint little town, and before the moon had risen, Helios had started making himself a home within this place they call Transyre.

    Sample : Helios glanced at the door through hooded eyes and lowered lashes, humming at nothing in particular before looking back down at the pot floating and spinning between his hands. With a cursory gesture up, a bit of green peeked through the soil, and repeating the same motion, the a short stem and a pair of leaves sprung from its confines. As slight as it was, Helios smiled at the feat, continuing to coax the seedling to fruition. The flora rose higher and higher, blooming with lavenders and blues as it perched itself on a suspended hook. From the corner of his eye, he spied a character, foot in door with their eyes transfixed on the small bouquet. He turned to them with a smile on his face, and with a coy tilt of his head, his voice lilting as he spoke. "May I help you?"
