This was just on a whim, it happens when I'm bored and there is paper and a pencil nearby. I think Kagome and Shippo are cute together. Some people don't know how to describe the relationship between these but this might give you a rather neutral, happy idea.Related content

Youkai - particularly kitsune - can be deceiving. I've seen the idea kicked around that Shippou is actually about 50 years old.. however, I can't think of any proper reference on the aging milestones of youkai in InuYasha.
My take? He very well may be an adult. While he can be whimsical and playful at times, at others, he seems to be the most mature member of the group - the only one keeping his sense. He definitely is the most gentlemanly with the ladies, and often seems to get the "hidden cues" that none of the males (other than himself), and all of the girls, know.
As far as tales at large, I've seen everything from well under a 1,000 year lifespan for kitsune, to immortality (as used in my stories - they aren't invincible, though).
