Sketchage between the comms. Drawing humanoids is so hard seriously why do artists do this to themselves.
If you see someone drawing humans give them a hug and tell them everything is going to be OK. I put more than five hours in the initial sketching alone, desperately trying to make it look not-trash into the wee hours of the morning lol. Iβm not sure when I can finish this but Iβd like to someday.

As a gesture drawing, it works well; the body language and expression convey an excellent sense of mood. Overall itβs a reasonable extrapolation of extremely simplified animation designs to a more fully realized style, and I for one would like to see the finished version if and when you produce it.
As for drawing people in general, I have one piece of adviceβlife drawing. Lots and lots of it. Sit in a mall, a park, anywhere people congregate, and practice with sketches.

One small criticism I have is that I think the front of her neck should be brought forward to be more in line with her shoulders. Currently, her jaw line goes back too far before it finally meets her neck.

Wow, that's incredible. It's really good. It's really good anatomically speaking (maybe her chin is a bit long and there's some strange bulb around her collar, but that's really nothing). I love the use of dull colours. It really gives the picture a calm and relaxed feeling. And maybe it's only due to the fact that this is still a draft, but these colour with the white background really gives a unique atmosphere to the scene. Sunset seems in her world, getting ready for something, but isolated nonetheless.
So, yes, really a good picture, even if just a draft =3.
