i watched the video and honestly im speachless...
your way with backgrounds and character desing is something i've never seen before...
can i ask a question though? when drawing your background and/or character do you have everything planned out or does part of it simply come while drawing? i'm talking mostly about the moutains, was it predetirmined to look this way or not?

Some artists indeed have a drawing all mapped out in their head before even getting started, but I have difficulty with envisioning the finished product because there's always something that comes up that I think would look awesome. I'll have an idea of what I want, but usually not totally planned out. A lot comes through experimentation and often just saying, "Oh - that looks pretty cool. Let's try that."

Beautiful work by the way. I've always loved this rediculous Rarity vs. Giant Crab series for some reason, but this one would be fine on it's own in my opinion. Well done!
