I mostly like what they did to him in the new 52... A living lightning bolt, thats cool. But i do think he should keep his mystical status as an ambassador to the elementals and other magical creatures in the multiverse. That make a great distinction between who he is and SupermanΒ

I agree with you. That is actually what makes him such a powerful counter to Superman. Magic being one of his weaknesses.
