Description
Disclaimer: No hands, brains or eyes were injured in the making of the following picture.Well, this is the coloring technique I'm looking to use for serious and quality projects later on. It takes a lot of time, but the result's worth.
And yes, this is digital inking, my Intuos4 is finally doing what it was made for! Or is it me who finally understood that inking is NOT about fine-lining, but rather dynamic lines with thickness variations?

Look like she is missing the "plate" (body armor) to her plate carrier. (front, back and side plates) Also the Army is big into elbow, knee pads and eye protection.
Secure that hair PFC!

Could be, took me a while before managing to get the bulkiness of body armor right on drawings. o.o

Its been an ongoing issue with females and body armor. US body armor / uniforms have always be made for the male body.

The US Army aren't allowing females into combat/infantry units, so the lack of extra gear can be explained by the fact that she's in a support unit.
In case you're wondering why she has no drop leg holster or M9/M1911, it's because handguns are only issued to officers~

Its still up in the air about what jobs females will be doing when it come to combat arms. As for pistols, it depends on the MTOE of the unit / and your job in the unit. With the GWOT everyone has been issues a rifle of some kind.

the normal MICH T-2000 helmets are pretty cool :3 the standard issue helmet for many military personnel in the Saga, are based on that, with some mods here and there. I've been meaning to implement Fast Ops Helmets in as well :3 the next couple Warhound pics and other operator pics will show those off :3

Unfortunately not :/ Since the original was doodled in a class without wifi, I simply used the standard iOTV.
