Description Hoop snakes are a legendary creature from the folklore of the US, Canada, and apparently Australia. Their basic description is a snake that curls itself into a hoop to roll after its prey; my favorite version has a pointy, venomous tail that it impales its prey with, making the way to escape from it to dodge behind a tree at the last second so it stabs the tree instead (oddly, also the recommended procedure when attacked by a unicorn). This lamia is the pointy-tailed kind of hoop snake, and is wearing a sock on her tail to keep from accidentally impaling passersby.

(I really need to look up how to draw movement better, especially spinning.)
