Description
The secondary major character in The Curious and the Shiny, serving as Curio's best friend and foil. I haven't bothered to finish it since I was unsatisfied with a few things, but once I get back into the habit of practising art, I'll do a few more sketches for him, clean it up and do the colours.

'Shine is the sole Pokemon belonging to his trainer Tony Lefevre, a conservationist, and the two live a quiet life in Ambrette. He is a unique case as he is not only a fluent speaker of the human tongue, he is also an avid reader of literature and news, who can be frequently seen in the library, becoming a favourite among the locals and their Pokemon. Occasionally, he'll offer to read to the Pokemon, which the trainers have reacted positively to so far. One trainer says:

"It's wonderful seeing my lil' Fennekin hear what he has to say, and she doesn't even fall asleep or anything; when I see that look in her eyes, she seems really interested in the stories he tells. Even I can't pay attention for that long. You know, there was this one day when I curled up next to my Pokemon to hear him read, and I totally fell asleep! Maybe it's because of that voice. It's so unlike another person's yet it's so relaxing."

Although he has fervently declined to speak to us about the circumstances surrounding his gained skills or his missing eye, he has this to say about his past:

"I've seen a lot of Pokemon close to me come and go and it's been one painful experience I hope to never revisit. My trainer's been helping me recover and I'm very grateful for all he's done for me so far. I'm sorry, but that's all I'll tell you."'

Just to add some extra info, the top book on the stack in the bottom left corner is A Congress of Dunsparces. The Murkrow in the sketch next to that one is called Bauble, a side character that appears in some of his chapters.
