Tifa Lockhart: Best friends with Ari when she moved to Midgar. She often goes to her bar to chat when she’s not working at the shop.
Aerith Gainsborough: Friends/Acquaintances. Met during their travels with Cloud to search for Sephiroth. Talked a lot during that time.
Cloud Strife: Friends/Acquaintances. First introduced when he and his group entered her shop with the assistance of Cid. Was there when she had thrown a wrench at Cid’s head. Makes sure that he stays on Ari’s good side.
Shera: Friends/ Acquaintances. Knew that she was working with Cid. Found out that Cid has been treating her badly because he blames Shera for shattering his dreams and have been trying to make amends to it. Ari defends her and lashes out against Cid about it.
Zack Fair: Acquaintances. Met about once or twice when Ari moved to Midgar several years ago. Commissioned her to mod his weapons between his travels.
Barret Wallace: Acquaintances. Met during their travels with Cloud. Highly respects Ari for her mechanical knowledge. Goes to her for mods with his mechanical hand.

Ari was born into a large family in Rocket Town. She knew Cid growing up (him being a few years older than her) and talked about their dreams in their youth; Ari wanting to run her grandfathers mechanic shop and Cid wanting to be the first man in space.

Throughout the years, they helped each other with their dreams. Ari took charge of her grandfathers mechanic shop in means to help Cid make ships such as Tiny Bronco and the Highwind. Cid had also help build Ari a glider along with her being on test flights with Cid. That’s when they started dating.

Sadly their work started to make them drift apart over the years. Ari was focused on keeping her grandfather’s shop open when Cid was determined to become the best pilot there was. They didn’t notice them drifting apart until it was too late, them having an argument that torn a rift between them. Cid started to become bitter when his dreams were shattered. They keep in touch but not as often after their fallout.

Unable to keep grandfather’s shop running, Ari moved Midgar, Sector 7 to open up a new shop to build weapons and other gadgets. She makes her living fixing things for the common folk while in the process she made sure that her shop was heavily defensed in case of any emergency. That’s where she met Tifa and became friends. Sadly her shop was destroyed when the plate fell, lucky enough to escape with her life. She went back to her grandfather’s old shop and re opened it.

She was found by Cloud and his group with the assistance of Cid, Ari not happy to see Cid even after the years that have passed. She agreed to help Cloud and the others in however way she can to search for Sephiroth, but she had kept a cold shoulder towards Cid. She helped mod several of the group members weapons, including Cid’s spear.
