Description
This is something I put together for a Star Wars, Fantasy Flight game I am GMing for friends. The theme of the game is "Space Truckers." This is their home base. The name of the ship is the Alethadascapolis. It is composed of three derelict LH-3210 "Lucrehulk" mega-bulk freighters, stacked one on top of each other. Each Lucrehulk forms a tier, with Tier-1 on top and Tier-3 at the bottom. Tier-1 is where the command crew and the social elite of the ship live. Tier-3 is where the "commoners" live. It's also where the players happen to live.

So, a minor rant ...
I had been sharing my stuff primarily via the "GM's only group Star Wars RPG Fantasy Flight" Facebook page. However, I somehow got banned from there. I am assuming it's because I blocked someone who was being a complete jerk, and said jerk turned out to be an admin. That's my only guess. That's the only thing it could be, really. All I said was that, in my book, there is no "canon" versus "legacy." Rather, it is a question of "canon" versus "mouse shit." That is what caused this particular idiot went psycho, and I rightly blocked him.
So, now I will be sharing my Star Wars stuff here, where (hopefully) idiots cannot screw with it. Good riddance to them, and their loss. I was just about the only one who had been posting content, instead of silly memes.

So, the story behind this ship is that a private, corporate entity obtained a license to convert war surplus and scrap to non-military, commercial use. It was built from salvaged Lucrehulks. One third of the ship is, effectively, a city dedicated to nothing but freight operations (receiving, hauling and distributing). A fleet of privately owned freighters and their crews handle the day-to-day transport operations (that's where the player characters come in).
The rest of the ship (in theory) is dedicated to manufacture and logistics. It converts salvage and raw materials into goods that can be sold at various planetary systems the base ship visits. In reality, the ship is the home-base for an armada of pirates. These pirates are sympathetic to the rebel cause (if for no other reason than it is easier to engage in piracy under a Republic than it is under an Empire). The manufacturing sections of the ship do produce some mercantile goods, but mostly what they produce are weapons and ship components - enough to supply the rebellion with fleets of ships (once assembled elsewhere). What they've been doing over the course of a year or two is supplying various resistance cells with ships and war materials, in preparation for eventual open rebellion. They've also been conducting pirate raids, because (hey) they're pirates.

Oh, it is not a render. In this case it is photo-shop-fu. I did the shading the old fashioned way - with an airbrush ... a virtual one, of course.
