the key thing is simply practice. you can read online tutorials all day long but what I've learned, you can only get the basics out of those, because if you get into detail something goes wrong and your fractal sucks. take a few hours every day or when you can at least, to just explore the program. i learned most of what you see in my fractals from accidental discovery. that's what fractal art is about at this stage in the game, because it's a new thing. There aren't many people to learn from because this generation of fractalists will be that group of people. So it's up to you to make it happen.

hey hey, thanks for the advice. i am doing exactly what you say so hopefully i'll be picking it up more and more. i just need to get into a few more tutorials to learn the ins and outs of the program....i'm still very unsure of what i am actually doing. i'm keeping at it though. thanks again for providing advice and INSPIRATION!!!! take care, good health!

yeah sure thing. if there's one thing i strive to do here on dA it's give back to the community that gave so much to me. just remember, as far as the program goes, the best teacher is yourself. I only learned about 5-10% of what I know about apophysis through tutorials. As far as the numbers and variables and tabs go, just click them, fill in the blanks, experiment. you'll discover the most amazing things in the world by doing that enough.

actually, I find it to be a lot of fun. In fact, I like 3D a lot more than 2D. However, thanks for the complement
