Description
From my prequel fanfic, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 8.5: Rainbow In The Dark . He and four others are antimatter beings from the 2nd dimension, summoned by Dove to deal with enemies that are stronger than what Dove's usual forces can do. They are the five strongest members of Mighty Fortress (named after the Christian hymn), vastly outstripping the five lower members in terms of overall competence. Avoid is the weakest of the five, being the most involved in direct missions, supervising the laser member of Dove's organization. He is playful, hot-blooded, cocky, impulsive, and will toy with his enemies like a game, which he does sadistically when he abandons the veneer of being a mature focused kid leader. Like most enemy Stand users, he will immediately falter and become pusillanimous when finally cornered and will attempt to backstab those who show him mercy.Avoid One Thing is a punk band that started as a side project by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones' bassist Joe Gittleman. The Boston-based group's first album, titled Avoid One Thing, was released in 2002 on Side One Dummy Records. The album was written and recorded almost solely by Gittleman. Gittleman assembled a band with which to tour and play his music. Before the release of the band's next album in 2004, the band went through several lineup changes. John Lynch joined the band after Dave Karcich's death due to a sudden brain aneurysm. Later, Delano left and the band continued as a three-piece. The trio returned to the studio and released Chopstick Bridge on May 4, 2004. The album reflected the combined efforts of all three band members and sounds vastly different from their first in many respects; Amy Griffin and Gittleman even split lead vocals on a few tracks. After the release of this album, the band toured until February 2005 before going on hiatus. Since that time, Griffin has been playing guitar for Darkbuster and Gittleman has moved to Los Angeles and is once again a member of the reunited Bosstones. Paul Delano underwent emergency surgery in 2006 and a series of benefit shows were held. John Lynch has since joined up with David Minehan and is now playing drums for The Neighborhoods. The band got back together and released a new record in September 2019 titled Right Here Where You Left Me on Big Rig Records. Five Stairsteps, known as "The First Family of Soul" and later "The Invisible Man's Band", was an American Chicago soul group made up of five of Betty and Clarence Burke Sr.'s six children: Alohe Jean, Clarence Jr., James, Dennis, and Kenneth "Keni", and briefly, Cubie. They are best known for the 1970 song "O-o-h Child", listed at number 402 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. They ran from 1965–1976 as the original band and then 1979–1981 as the The Invisible Band.
I made him as a critique of the typical shonen protagonist in both personality and apparance, showing his big eating habits as more of a hinderance, lack of foresight in despite of his instinctive planning- revealing him to be not as intelligent as initially assumed, never giving up attitude being a sign of being a very sore loser while hypocritically giving up when he's actually in danger, loud hot-blooded attitude that is grating to get along with, believes in his friends- that he'll proceed to ditch if it means getting a better payroll, his strong sense of justice is more of an ego complex of wanting to be seen as a savior figure, etc- all to paint this trope in a deconstructive light in reality. Even his own colleagues find him annoyance and not in the endearing manner.
His Stand being a group of toy flying vehicles was a homage to Narancia’s Aerosmith, but made more deadly due to its larger quantities and lethal power as well as if Narancia was an evil jerk.
With Dove's antimatter manipulation, I viewed it as the next logical step to being able to call forth sentiment beings of antimatter to do his bidding. I had the idea of extra-dimensional beings being Stand users since the You Yes-Eyes, and wanted to explore the concept more. They resemble humans, but have different colored skin, clawed feet, and possess unnatural powers that make them alien to the natural world.
