From my prequel fanfic, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 8.5: Rainbow In The Dark . Patterns- the entity born from the residual energies of people who follow a strict regiment of actions each day, leading to his creation. He was recruited into Primal Scream by Motley, seeing his talents as useful. He's a more level-headed and less violent member of the group, preferring to trap people in loops rather than brutally kill his opponents like his allies.

The song, Patterns, is about how man is constantly trying to weave his own path in which he thinks that his experience is progressing, but in reality, he is only going around in circles and is trapped with the same mistakes, decisions, and factors that govern his life. As the song progresses, the character also takes notice of the patterns that “control” his life, but is incapable of tracking it down or doing something about it. And so, he has no choice but to follow them, as seeking for the truth and going against the grain is a futile exercise. In the end, death is pointed out as the only escape from these patterns, being an ironic point of breaking free from the bonds of the so-called patterns.

I designed him with a mesh of various pattern designs on a humanoid body patched together to give a subtle nod to his meaningful name while making him stand out. I initially went for a tattoo motif-based character, but I realized that an entity made of patterns was more striking as a memorable design. He's not physically powerful, but still devastating in combat due to the clever use of his powers.

Stand/Stand User: Patterns- named after the song by the musical group, Simon and Garfunkel
Ability: Pattern Inducement- Patterns can induce patterns of any kind onto anything, whether it be movement, rhythm, thinking patters, event patterns, spatial patterns, design patterns, etc. Applications include attack prediction, destiny manipulation, pattern sensing, probability/predictability/order manipulation, and rhythm manipulation. The visual indication of these effects taking place is through the effected limbs changing their colors into a specific pattern motif to signify its control. He can do it to entire crowds in the millions at a time.
Destructive Power: C- Not physically powerful, but his ability is especially potent.
Speed: A- top-tier in speed.
Range: Indefinite- it has seemingly infinite range.
