The 5th Primordial Fleet Captain of the Rocks Pirates, Sunnu D. Minerva is one of the 40 daughters of Sunny D. Joy- the first Joyboy and the Pirate King of Kings of 900-800 years ago. She and her sisters were what society now considers Ancient Weapons- which include Uranus/Zeus, Pluton/Hades, Poseidon, Hermes, Gaia/Demeter, Artemis, Athena, Apollo Ares, Hephaestus, Dionysus/Muse, Aphrodite, Hestia, Heracles, Hecate, Elpis, Morpheus Ananke, Helen, Echidna, Prometheus, Hebe, Hera, Eos, Pandora, Eris, Iris, Persephone, Cronus, Tyche, Selene, Brizo, Harmonia, Nike, Astraea, Helios, Nyx, Rhea, Amphirite and Andromeda. Ships associated with their names were actually tools made by the early iterations of the World Government in order to harness their powers. The actual names would be the Maidens of the World but that is an oversimplification. They're actually the concepts of what they embody given physical form via their birth by Geoise D. Mary- who is the incarnation of the GOD who created the world- with her marriage to Sunny D. Joy. Twenty of these Maidens were to be consorts to 20 select Kingdoms chosen by the people and the other twenty would be married to the respective Pirate King- including Joy's successor- as a sign of coexistence between the chaotic world of Piracy and the orderly world of the nations. Unfortunately, Joy had to sacrifice himself to seal VOID away and these Maidens and their mother were branded as traitors- with a loyal retainer named Toki having to send each of the maidens to select times in future while de-aging them into embryos via the Age-Age Fruit to be reborn into different parents to avoid detection. As the centuries passed, the Maidens were branded as evil pagan deities to be hunted down and Geoise D. Mary was written as a princess tricked by a DEVIL of the D-Clan to give birth to the unholy offspring. Only Shirahoshi is publicly known as the reincarnation of Poseidon and in private circles that Big Mom contains Gaia/Demeter aka Ataxia. Minerva was the quickest to be reborn of the Maidens- being birthed by the Merlin clan of the Magus- a race of long-lived individuals that were born with innate Sorcery Haki skills and longevity who live on Avalon. They would be hunted down by the World Government for being "unholy" but also their innate talent of understanding the Poneglyphs. Around 750 years ago, Pirates worshipping Davey Jones forced the Magus underground and renamed Avalon- Fullalead/Hachinosu Island. Minerva would be sent off to Elbaf to protect her from being abused by the Pirates. She has forced to swallow a Devil Fruit, Devil Vegetable, and a Devil Tomato- the Human-Human: Sage Mythical Zoan Fruit that gave her the power to turn into an elderly male wizard or a hag hybrid with added natural Sorcery Haki with the side-effect of gaining a manhood, the Know-Know Paramecia Vegetable to imbue her with omniscience/download information into others, and the Void-Void Logia Tomato that gave her the power to turn into a void to be immune to conventional attacks/use voids to attack enemies. She would then use her new identity as Merlin to become the Giant royal family's advisor- being the most close to Odin. When Farbuit's coup occurred, she and Odin were forced to flee and would go to become Pirates. They would find themselves in Xebec's services where Minerva would have a child with him called Rocks D. Fuffy. She initially was hesitant to work with him but she eventually became a solid if not reluctant ally of his. When the God Valley incident ended- Xebec had Minerva sent to the OLD WORLD for her own protection and Fluffy would grow under Vegapunk's care as his ward. Fluffy would have a child with a man of the 3 years and place the child under adoption- Koby. Making Koby Minerva and Xebec's grandson and Luffy's cousin. Minerva would await the day for Xebec's grandson to enter the OLD WORLD to become the next Pirate King...

Due to her traumatic experiences, Minerva had become cynical, serious, pragmatic, unsociable, and reclusive- deliberately isolating herself from others. She cynically views races as fools who repeat the same mistakes over and over due to how long she's lived. Any attempt at interaction was brushed off by attacking or escaping. She hid behind the public persona of Merlin- a wise old man who seemed reasonable and sagacious. She kept herself in the distance as she observed the stupidity of others with annoyance. She has a personal, critical voice in regard to the actions and thoughts of others, being one to be able to organize others quickly, relay orders swiftly and be a strong advisor to leaders. She nitpicks the inane actions of others and gives small comments about the stupidity of the events transpiring while others would be more fully invested. Gradually due to Xebec's influence, she's become more open and sociable with her fellow crewmates. While on the Rocks Pirates crew- she initially had an aloof attitude towards their actions but gradually became similar to the Straw Hats- focusing on freedom valuing friendship, having a personal dream to open the OLD WORLD to the public- which is something her father/mother wishes, letting others decide who their heroes are, and not taking credit for her actions- which earned her some ire from some of the Fleet Captains. She was very close to Odin, Xebec, and the female Fleet Captains but the others either viewed her as dangerous or naive. She is guilt-ridden for her father's death- being very close to him before he died. After the God Valley incident, she now has more appreciation of others and secretly hopes for a crew that she can get along with soon- implied to be the Straw Hats. She is self-conscious of her biology and resents that she finds robots inherently cool- owing that to her male half. She seems to have split personalities much to her chagrin with the wizard "Beast" form having a wise, serious, and grave demeanor with some affable nature while the witch "hybrid" form is cackling, dramatic, and over the top.

She has All Ruler Haki types, All Nature Haki types, Sorcery Haki mastery, Balance Haki, Divine Haki, Normal Haki, Crazy Haki, and Mana mastery. She is innately skilled with Sorcery Haki- being adept with Poneglyph translation due to talent and centuries of experience- which she uses to charm, hypnotize, transmute, curse, control, conjure, abjure, divine, enchant, cast illusions, manipulate nature/time/reality, curse, counter, etc to targets.

She also has the Human-Human: Sage Mythical Zoan that allows her to become either an old man or a crone with increased Sorcery Haki powers; the Know-Know Vegetable Paramecia that allows her to have omniscience/download information into others via kiss; and the Void-Void Tomato Void that allows her to turn into a void to be immune to conventional attacks or use the void to generate black holes/delete aspects of a target/teleport/destroy/create vacuums/etc. She is one of the few individuals that Whitebeard considers to be much stronger than him on the Rocks Pirates crew. As one of the Maidens of the World- she is the personification of knowledge and data and being Joy's daughter- she is one of the few individuals to inherit her father's lineage factor of the Nika power along with her sisters but not to the extent of the true user of the Nika power.
