From my fanfic, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part Nine: Stairway To Heaven . Tantra Rick is heavily implied to be Amba's son, born in prison, but sent off to be adopted in order to avoid Justiz' gaze, meaning he's Joshua's brother as well, but older than his sibling. Personality wise, Tantra is a confident, ever-happy and optimistic person that believes things will work out without a specific plan in mind in how it will occur. At times very serious and almost dark. He refuses to forgive anyone who hurts his friends, becoming a serious and strong-minded fighter in combat, rarely letting his emotions get in the way of his battle. He doesn't mince words and sometimes argues with Joshua on doing something in the moment over planning every single step of the way. He's more polite with women however, being a perfect gentleman. He doesn't seek to kill his enemies if it's unnecessary and will do it if there's no other choice. He often likes to make Lego sets, but alter them to being more unique and unlike the original model sheet- leading to bizarre sculptures.

The song that inspires the Stand, Breakdown, the first single of the band, Tantric- is about a high school student filled with resentment and self-disgust. Tantra grew up as a member of the middle class that supported Justiz's beliefs and would get insults from his peers for being a supposed supporter. This led to him feeling resentful until he met Lennon Harrison who inspired him to overcome setbacks, even if they'd need a miracle to overcome, as long as he follows a virtuous path. This caused him to be more hopeful and change his outlook on life.

I made Tantra as a sort of older brother/mentor figure to Joshua because he's been around women for most of his life and hasn't really interacted with boys around his age group that he respects until the Genre Gods arc. I also wanted another Gyro like figure because he's awesome. The design of Lego Bricks making a Stand clicked to me and I wanted its power to breakdown and reshape things like legos to make something unique. This Lego theme also plays into Tantra's character to the point his outfit is designed like Breakdown.

Tantra's name comes from in-universe, Tantra, which is "text, theory, system, method, instrument, technique or practice"- also "loom, weave, warp, to extend", "to spread", "to spin out", "weave", "display", "put forth", and "compose". A key feature of these traditions is the use of mantras, and thus they are commonly referred to as Mantramārga ("Path of Mantra") in Hinduism or Mantrayāna ("Mantra Vehicle") and Guhyamantra ("Secret Mantra") in Buddhism. It implies interweaving of traditions and teachings as threads" into a text, technique or practice. It can also mean- independent" or a person who is his own "warp, cloth, weaver, promoter, karta (actor)"- one who is self-dependent, one who is his own master, the principal thing for whom is himself'. Something that describes Tantra very well. Rick is short for Richard- Brave Ruler- which Tantra is in a fashion, being very determined and having extreme authority over his Stand.

Out-universe, Tantra's name is inspired by Tantric, a an American rock band from Louisville, Kentucky. The group was founded in 1998 by former Days of the New members Todd Whitener, Jesse Vest and Matt Taul, who added frontman, Hugo Ferreira, the following year. Ferreria is the only remaining member of the band from the original lineup. s post-grunge and is known for its emphasis on acoustic guitar, distorted electric guitar, and multi-layered vocal harmonies. However, due to their heaviness, the band also fit in well during the early 2000s peak of alternative and nu metal. It has a soft, somber yet profound and epic sound to most of their songs. This reflects into Tantra's character as well, especially in combat.

Ability: When Breakdown hits something, it breaks down a target, regardless of stature, fluidity, mass, etc into lego blocks. It then rearranges them by taking out the unnecessary aspects and replacing it with some of Breakdown's own blocks, which regenerate instantly in proportion to Tantra's health condition. The applications include property alteration, portal creation, shattering to avoid attacks, healing, possession, rearrangement, etc. These can altered at anytime even if they're remote from Tantra's direct knowledge of their location.
Destructive Power: Omega Tier- Is able to overpower top-tier Stand and is equal to King Crimson Part 4: Fallen Angel in terms of raw strength.
Speed: Omega Tier-Is able to outpace top-tier Stand in terms of speed.
Range: Omega Tier- Planetary range.
Precision: A- Very accurate and keen control of which properties to remove and add to the figure.
Persistence: A- Stand is extremely durable, even with its preferred method of separating into blocks to avoid attacks. Once a target is hit, Tantra can alter the target's properties remotely at anytime.
Development Potential: E- Has basic mastery of Stand with potential to improve through unorthodox means.
