Description
Oh glob I had completely forgotten the competition until a few days before Christmas. So, here we have this messily put together character sheet and this novel of a description I hammered out last night. Looking at it now I can't help but think she's sue-y as butts, but nevermind, I'll work it out somehow. Now, off to the audition comic.

Full Name: Patricia Atlas
Age: 27
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 182 lbs

Strengths: Tough and quick, it takes quite a bit to knock her over or slow her down. An NCR Ranger and an honored White Hand warrior, she's resourceful and well versed in combat, her experience making her quite adaptable to various environments, from toxic jungles to rad-filled sewers. Also seeks to use her environment to her advantage, using cover and concealment as much as possible, especially when closing in on her targets, as well as camouflage when appropriate. She is also ambidextrous, able to use either or both hands effectively.

Weaknesses: Hates snipers. So. Fucking. Much. Being half tribal, she experiences racial discrimination in her career in the NCR, English being her second language and still having a noticeable accent tending to compound matters. As such, she's not the most sociable or chatty person around. She tends to find herself with a raw deal when trying to barter, normally getting around this by bullying her friends or superiors into dealing with that stuff for her.

Fighting Style: Extremely aggressive and effective in close range/quarters combat, and prefers it over distanced combat, which she's far less effective at and has little patience for. She will only engage in long-distance combat when having no other choice, otherwise will seek to quickly and quietly close the gap. Makes liberal use of explosives, also effective at making traps and ambushes.

Weapon of Choice: Competent with most small firearms, though she's particularly fond of shotguns and SMGs, but in turn disliking weapons that require any real trigger discipline (rifles). Also handles explosives well, always enjoying a nice grenade peppering. One of the best at knifeplay in her company, she's also competent with melee weapons and various traditional tribal tools and weaponry (spears, clubs, tomahawks, etc.). Knows just enough hand-to-hand combat to at least defend herself if without a weapon.

Personality: At first, Pat comes off as very reserved, stoic, and standoffish, preferring to communicate through grunts and body language with strangers. If she does speak, it's usually short and to the point, typically ignoring small talk - which tends to put off a lot of people and gives the impression that she's not very intelligent, when she's actually quite sharp. If annoyed or angered - being one of those things that depend on the person she's interacting with - she either makes her irritation clear, reacts with indifference, or simply ignores the person.

If one manages to win her over by showing themselves trustworthy, capable and not being a piece of shit fiend of some sort, she'll show a much warmer side, one that not very many outside of her Ranger company are privy to. She becomes much more mindful of the person, smiling and laughing much more freely (actually having a pretty good sense of humor), and usually going out of her way to assist them if appropriate. While still not being the most chatty person, she'll sometimes give small gifts of appreciation to those she considers important to her. She can also be very affectionate, sometimes smotheringly so, though it's usually saved for her siblings.

While she's discriminated against for her tribal heritage, Pat does not discriminate against those who make a genuine effort to contribute to something positive, even ghouls and mutants. Her mixed heritage and experience allows her to view the world objectively rather than with fear. Pat has a very strong sense of justice and morality that leads her life, but also has a very rigid sense of vengeance that comes with growing up with Mojave tribals, which she expresses as righteous indignation.

Brief Bio: Patricia Atlas was born to an NCR soldier and a tribal mother, met when her father Frank visited her village while on leave, on a road trip of sorts. Thus, Pat had a doubly militaristic and warrior upbringing, both learning the path of the White Hand warrior and the ideology of the NCR, both meshing quite cleanly together. Once she was of age, she promptly joined the NCR, following her father's footsteps, who had been promoted to officer by then.

Frank made a point not to coddle his daughter, confident that she could take care of herself, and indeed she did. She was eventually transferred to the Rangers after proving her prowess and capability more than once, and becoming an effective part of her platoon, much to the pride of her parents.

Prior to the events of the tournament, Pat was hunting golden geckos.
