I can't believe I used over 105 layers on this. And 75% of those layers were based around Ib's poorly drawn face. xDBut none the less, Ib is awesome and still my favourite RPG maker game. I based the scene on a room in the 'Violet Area': images.jayisgames.com/dora_ib_…

Impressive piece, the lighting is done quite well.
Speaking of lighting there's one thing you forgot though, it's the huge shadow the two characters would cast on that background from such a massive light source (a little exaggerated tbh ). The lighting and the skin tone on the characters are well done, but there's one thing that bothers me though, that's the neck of the guy in the middle, assuming the character is a guy. The sternocleidomastoid muscle, the one that extends from the middle of the collar bone to the back of the jaw is slightly off, especially the left one. However when you have the sternocleidomastoid muscle stand out like that there will be a dip in the innards. Also, don't forget to draw the Adam's apple.
One thing you should work on though is how light reacts to different materials. For example look at the rose, roses are soft surfaced but the lighting makes it look like plastic; that's because of the sharp highlight it has. Same goes with the girls tie. There's one slight detail you missed as well, notice how everything in the background is blurred for depth of view? except the design on the wallpaper?
Besides those things I pointed out, this drawing is very nice, really catches my eye.
